William Tuning

William Tuning (1935-1982) was an US author who started to publish science-fiction with the story "Survivability" for Analog in May 1973 His first novel, Tornado Alley (1978), dramatizes Near-Future attempts to deal with very bad storms.

Fuzzy Bones (1981) is a continuation of H. Beam Piper's Fuzzy series, quite successfully extracting from Piper's own texts material that needed development – though he did not see the subsequently discovered manuscript of Fuzzies and Other People (1984) – and exploring the origins of the Fuzzy race.

He was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA)
